Around Melbourne, Erna Nixon Park, Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands and more. Lots and lots of bird… and some alligators and turtoises and trees. In Erna Nixon Park I saw a glimpse of an armadillo – just briefly and I was so excited that I forgot to take a picture…

Started day four in Sawgrass Recreation park, Everglades…
What shall I say? Lots of water. Lots of reed.
Further north to Lake Okeechobe and heading to Melbourne

Slowly gowing up towards Homestead and Fort Lauderdale. Mangroves, mangrove cuckoo, pelican, lots of other animals like lizards and butterflies and at sunset beautiful skies filled with clouds

Next morning we were welcomed by this Key deer (Odocoileus virginianus clavium) walking through our garden. A miniature deer, but what beautiful eyes!

These colors of the mangroves!

Snorkling at the reef

“Shall we postpone?” she asked. “The weather forecast is bad. A lot of rain.”
“Let’s just try,” I replied. “It will be dry between showers. And actually I think portraits in the rain are quite special. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll decide on the spot to go again another day.”
We did take some great portrait photos in the sun and in the shade. Then the rain came. And yes, of all these pictures, the ones in the rain are definetely my favorites!
